Deal Maker

It's 8 a.m. and I just put our little guy down for a nap. Why so early? Because he's been up since 5 a.m., AGAIN! I don't know what to do with this guy. He's nearly 15 mos. old. He goes to bed around 8 p.m., so he's slept for about 9 hrs...I guess I'd wake at 5 too. Do I need to cut out that all important morning nap and go to one nap a day? He is desperate for that morning nap though.

I think I need to strike a deal with the little dude. Negotiate some bargains, make a deal.
"So listen little dude, I'll give you thirty minutes of running around with no diaper if you give me thirty more minutes of snooze time."
"No deal? Ok."
"How about I slip a little chocolate in your sippy cup?"
Now we're getting somewhere.
Tell me your tips and hints girls. I'm going crazy here. Well yeah, crazier. Cheers!

Hello Stranger! ~ Fab Friday Finds

Hi friends. Yes, I'm still here. I should have posted that I'm on vacation or something. The reality is that I've done my usual good job of over-committing myself to things. Super-mom-syndrome (wannabe).

Instead of doing much about it I'm just sitting back watching myself slip down the slope and land into a pile of dirty laundry. Actually, I did a bit of work today and have some goodies to tell you about. A very late Fab Friday Find post:

Sleep You Little Monster!

Our baby monster is a bit resistant to sleep. Actually, he sleeps well for a few hours at a time. But it's the in-between time that is killing me. I'm sure I'll jinx myself by typing this, but the last few nights he's only woken once in the night, but then at 5:15 a.m. he's ready to be done with that sleeping business. ACK!

I just came across this book and web site, The Lullaby Baby Sleep Plan. If you've tried it, please tell us all how it went. After reading the site FAQ page, I've realized my WOO (Window Of Opportunity) is closed after 2 months. They say their plan can still work for me, I just have to be more diligent. Do I have it in me? I'm not sure. My kids seem to wait until 2 or 3 years of age to sleep thru the night. At least that's our pattern with the first two.

I'm just so tired and so cranky. Most of the friends I have now have only known me since I have had kids. I wonder how much they'll love being around me once I get some sleep. Seven years without sleep has taken it's toll on this mama. Share your sleep secrets with the Queen Mum...PLEASE! Nite nite.

No More Sex

Hello! It's been a while since I've posted. Busy getting used to our new routine with school and sports.
So about all this sex business? It's over. I've had all I'll ever get. I've watched every episode of Sex and the City and am now completely beside myself that it's over.

I'll never know if Carrie and Big actually make it as a couple and produce babies with big heads and a great sense of shoe style. And how will I know how to put together outfits made of pieces that look hideous on their own, yet somehow coordinate as a unit? Though I think the secret is actually in the shoes. If your shoes are fabulous enough, no one seems to look at what else you're wearing.

Where will the world get their latest trends if we no longer have Carrie Bradshaw to lead us? No more fabulous necklace pendants to make the masses rush to the nearest mall.

Thank goodness for TIVO, for now I have some of my favorite episodes to reminisce with the Manhattan girls. Sex...I'll miss you.
